A morning with air so thick you could cut it with a knife. Upon peeking out the window, we cannot see past the break wall only100 yards away. The racers are up and at 'em on que and they head out just like ghost ships sailing off the edge of the earth. What a site. Then I notice the spiders webs from the night before. They have collected the dew and look beautiful on the bow of the boat. I guess this might be a hint that we have stayed in one place too long. So we shower up and grab a bowl of cereal and just as we are casting off the lines we see the images of skeletal looking boat rigs heading into the channel. We tie temporary lines and watch the fleet come in from an abandon race call due to fog and no wind.
We motor towards Geneva State Park, OH in the fog and eventually it lifts and I can see Fairport Lighthouse off toward shore.
We are welcomed into Geneva State Park around 2:15PM and eventually get the bikes down for a ride to the local corner store for some minor supplies.
I went beach combing for a couple hours and found a few small pieces of glass and large slate like stones.
It was another dinner and movie night, with another guy flick....Master and Commander.
love the spider web picture.
