After spending a stormy weekend delayed at home and with Goose safe at NCYC, we made the call to leave the safety and security of our home dock. Leaving behind friends and family, familiar smiles and hugs, and everything of comfort and assurance.
We were dropped off at NCYC by John Glanville SR. who would be staying in our home for the first part of our adventure. We waved goodbye to a reassuring group of friends on other neighboring boats. Final hugs from Jerry Porter and then my husband began to calm me of my very unexpected anxieties beginning the day before. I just wanted to take everyone of my friends
and family with me.

Three hours later, seeing The Lake Erie Islands put a smile on my face as we called in for a dock assignment at an empty Crews Nest, our favorite weekend club stop.
Effortless docking enhanced our arrival with a handy dockhand waiting to guide us to our new home for the next few days.We had a quiet happy hour and dinner at The Nest.
Lesson Of The Day: Do not under-estimate the Gravity of Home.
Well, Collen had it right. You made me well up! I'm excited for you and Ron. I'll be watching everyday for your blog and praying for your fun and safety. Love, Laura
