Day 10 Wed 16th "stuck" in EYC

Marine weather calling for 5-7' seas and a west wind, so we decide to stay. A west wind should make for happy beach glassing. Still sore from yesterday's bike ride, I call a cab to run me around to a few stores and drop me at the beach. What a difference a day makes. I could hardly keep my footing as I tried to search in the waves. Taking a small break to get my beach legs, I decided to pick up trash for awhile and then make another attempt

As the pattern continues, my first find is a lucky stone and my best pieces are small. I did get purple and lavender today to add to my color wheel! The cabbie "Kevin" picked me up at the bottom of the hill and we go to get bulk type groceries. H2O, paper towels...stuff that is hard to carry on our bicycles.
There seems to be activity at the end of the pier and I spot two people on Rece$$ion. Turns out to be Pete Mooney with Dave Caracci  Seems I just missed Mary who had dropped them off to transport the boat to it's new home. Ron and I walked over for a tour and a cocktail.

Ron grilled a nice meal of boneless, skinless chicken breast. I made some potatoes and a salad. Dave and Pete went up to the YC to have dinner. We've met many new persons to date on this journey , however it was good to see smiling faces from HOME.
