Off to Explore Charlevoix

Beautiful calm morning with sun....already a better day is upon us from the standpoint of weather. By the time I am up and look around I see that most of our boat neighbors are gone. With some regret, an hour later, we pull out of our dock and quietly chug along out into a smooth Little Traverse Bay.
Petoskey Harbor

Farmland and Great Homes with a View
The morning sun is shining on the buildings of Bay Harbor on our port side.Guess we'll have to come back to see downtown Petoskey as well as the Harbor Springs Marina.
The landscape is pretty steep and is dotted by a wide variety of buildings from farms, ski lifts and lodges, and big "Up North" homes. I found the view of Bay Harbor from the water quite stunning. Before arriving at the bridge to Round Lake we passed  sand dunes..which I believe we may get to see more of if we continue South.

We catch the 11:30 bridge opening and peeking into the area that awaits us tells me that we made a great choice by coming here. Looks like a major exploration will be in order.
